Sorry folks but it looks like no Hockey for a few more months. It looks to me that the owners were just starting to get where they wanted to be, with TV in place and the annual Winter Classic, but it looks like they want it all now, not a little at a time, ditto the players.
Well I guess you will hear from me again in December if we are lucky. Mean while watch some good college Hockey.

Game 3
There is nothing to say about this game that you won't read in the papers tomorrow.This was Old time Bruins Hockey.A real fans game.

Game 1 Boston Vs Vancover
It looks to me as to me as if the Bruins were still playing Tampa as in Game 7 . They did all the right things except put the puck in the net.
They fore-checked well , they back-checked well ,they cleared out in front of the net well ,they broke out of their zone well. You could tell that this was going to be a game decided on mistakes, and which team took advantage of them .Well there weren't an awful lot of them.The B's gave the puck away twice in their own zone. Lucic gave it away once ,which par for the course these days . Then Boychuk gave it away for the Vancover score. The Bruins deserved to win this one.They have played great hockey for 2 games in a row. Tim Thomas has played out of this world (and don't complain about his being too aggressive on that goal last night , if it weren't for his aggressive play who knows how many goals Vancover could have scored.)But it was the special teams that could have won the game for the B's but Nooooo. The Power-play was moving the puck around well for what looked the a real Power-play ,with Chara in Louongo's face ,but he was up to the task at hand .Claude must be happy the way his team played. First they showed Vancover how they can play and then they showed themselves that they really do have shot at this cup. But hey that's just my opinion. Go B's

We have just seen the most complete game of Hockey the 2011 Boston Bruins have played all year long from Goal to defense to forwards.They took a page out of the hockey manual .To my recollection Tampa had 1 odd man rush all game long.The Bruins forward played a tenacious back checking game ,not allowing Tampa to break out of their zone clean . The defense blocked shots and cleared out in front of the net .The team as a whole had crisp passing out of their zone and their work in the corners going after the puck was the best I have seen all year. coach should be proud of his team tonight.Youth players should pay close attention to how this game was played.
Okay all that said ,the B's have another game to prepare for ,game1 in Vancouver,BC on Wednesday. That is all they should be looking forward to.
